Lugduni Batavorum : Apud Georgium Wishoff 1734 - pp: 8, [2], 411, [35]; four fold-outs; head and tail pieces; ornate initial letters; red and black printed title page with ornate device. 16mo (160mm X 108mm) hardcover in contemporary vellum. This copy was once held at the library of the Birmingham General Hospital, and the only library attributes found are five faint rubber-stamped library devices: one to the title-page, and one on each fold-out. Very good + condition. Age-darkened stiff, sturdy binding without any cracks or wear - not even to any of the extreme tips of spine ends and fore-corners, although there are bumps the upper fore-corners. Hand-written spine lettering is noticeable, but quite obscured, while the gilt lettering at foot of spine is clear. Leaves are crisp, text-block is tight, and edges are age-darkened. A few inner leaves have light foxing, while elsewhere throughout, foxing is much fainter. ffep and first three leaves have a tiny upper corner turn. All fold-outs present and are all in neat, crisp condition - and apart from '2/0' inked to front paste-down, there are no inscriptions. A very nice copy.
