T. Griffiths, London 1834 - (6.5 by 4 inches). 426 pages including index plus 2 pages of adverts. Scarce illustrated Edition with title and 12 hand coloured plates. Interesting provenance with book plates of Viscount Birkenhead, Reginald Roose Francis and John, Lord King of Wartnaby, Ex Chaiman of BA. Original cloth backstrip stuck to rear blank page. Full morocco red leather binding by Riviere with gilt ruling to upper and lower boards, gilt elaborately decorated spine with 5 raised bands, lettering in gilt. Inside gilt dentelles. All page edges gilt. Very minor rubbing along joints. A few small ink type marks to upper board. Two bookplates to front endpapers and one to rear endpaper. Title page slightly age toned. Off-setting to blank page opposite page with cloth backstrip. Internally clean and tight. Bright clean colour plates. A handsome copy. Scarce [Attributes: Hard Cover]
