Brussels: Louis Hauman et Comp., 1834. - 3 volumes, duodecimo (154 x 100 mm). Near contemporary tan half calf, marbled boards, raised bands to spines, red and black morocco labels, titles and lattice decorations to compartments gilt, marbled edges and endpapers. Armorial bookplate of Stephens Lyne Stephens to front pastedowns. Spine ends and joints very lightly rubbed, corners slightly bumped and worn, top edges a bit darkened, minor foxing to flyleaves. Front inner hinge of Volume I and III gently cracked. Otherwise an excellent set. An lovely set of this classic novel in a fresh and bright near contemporary binding. This copy is the second edition published by Louis Hauman; the first edition appeared in 1831.
