Wild Flowers : facsimiles of water colours
New York : Frederick A. Stokes, 1899. Folio, quarter-cloth over papered boards (edges rubbed, some marks), twelve full page chromolithographs after Rowan watercolours, interleaved with text sheets. One of the rarest works illustrated by Ellis Rowan, printed in America during the time she lived there from the late 1890s to 1905. During her stay in America Rowan published four books on wildflowers with the publisher Stokes, of which this is the rarest. Held in three Australian collections (National Library of Australia; State Library of Queensland, State Library of New South Wales).
