Appledore Press, New Haven 1887 - Only 50 Copies Printed, a wonderful Association Copy, inscribed by Linton to Wiliam Bell Scott, leading Pre-Raphaelite artist, poet, critic and closest friend to Dante Gabriel Rossetti. written in pencil on front free fly: "To my dear old friend/ W. B. Scott:/ W.J. Linton/ 1887." Fascinating inscriptions, as Linton was to later become romantically attached to Scott's lover (after Scott's death), Alice Boyd. Original mottled brown and yellow patterned paper coverd boards. 125pp. Near fine. Important and scarce Pre-Raphaelite Association Copy. [Attributes: First Edition]
