A magnificent production filled with type specimens, ornaments, articles and typographical inserts. The section on type specimens include Baskerville, Lutetia, Aldine Bembo, Curwen Sanserif and contains an article on Sanserif type by Harry Carter. Followed by sections showing initial letters, borders and printers' flowers, Curwen Press ornaments, head-pieces and vignettes including those designed by Edward Bawden, Claudia Guercio and Althea Willoughby. Also has a section on the Curwen Music punches and an article on printing "from the wood" by Harold Curwen and one on the stencil by Paul Nash. With a catalogue raisonné of books produced by the press. Slipcase shows wear around edges and is bumped at head of spine. Upper corners show slight bump. Unusual to find in original slipcase.
