The Eagle of the Ninth
Geoffrey Cumberlege Oxford University Press, London 1954 - Blue boards with gilt titles in a black panel to spine. Pictorial dustjacket - not price-clipped. 255pp. Illustrated in black and white by C. Walter Hodges. Corners and head and tail of spine bumped and a small strip is faded at the base of the otherwise bright blue boards. The dustjacket is abraded at the edges and has previously been clumsily reinforced with sellotape at top and bottom edges and along the spine. There is a small neat address label stuck to top corner of front endpaper. Hint of foxing to endpapers but otherwise this is a very good bright tight copy in a fair to good dustwrapper. Scarce. [Attributes: First Edition]
