Slight wear to spine ends and lightly rubbed. An excellent copy. Contemporary ownership signature to front pastedown and blank head of title. First English translation, originally published in German in 1841. Friedrich List (1789–1846) was a significant political economist who developed the theory of national economics, disagreeing with Adam Smith that the actions of individuals necessarily correlated to the economic strength of their society.
