- Undated but probably 1840, probably Charles Tilt, London. Oblong folio (265 x 368 mm.). The second edition; first published with fewer plates in 1834. Contents: pictorial general title-page; Old Ways & New Ways, pictorial title and six numbered plates; Nautical Dictionary, pictorial title and six numbered plates; Omnium Gatherum, pictorial title and thirteen numbered plates in two series; Demonology & Witchcraft, six numbered plates; The Art of Tormenting, pictorial title and six numbered plates; Sayings & Doings, six numbered plates; Scenes in London, forty-eight scenes on twelve plates. Thus a total of sixty etched pages, ALL FINELY COLOURED BY HAND. Bound in 20C. brown buckram lettered in gilt on cover. Title-page to Old Ways & New Ways lacking outer margin (about 15 mm.), from right-hand platemark, otherwise fine. Bookplate and signature of Thaddeus Sherman of New York on pastedown.
