De renunciatione vulnerum, seu vulnerum lethalium examen, exponses horum fromalitatem & cuasas, tam in specie ac per singulas corporis partes. by D. Johannis Bohnii
Amstelodami, Apud Wetstenios & Smith 1732 - pp: 16mo [xiv], 296, [8 index]. Hardcover in contemporary vellum - red and black printed title page with ornate piece, ornate initial letters and a couple of ornate headpieces, printed margin text. This copy was once held at the library of the Birmingham General Hospital, and the only library attribute found is an oval non-intrusive library stamp to the lower margins of twelve leaves. VERY GOOD condition. Secure, age-dulled binding with bumps to lower fore-corners - no rubbed or worn areas - not even to the fore-corners tips. Tight text-block with age-dulled edges, and clean, near-crisp, and age-toned leaves - although p96 has a small dark text stain, yet text is legible - and some leaves have corner creases. The handwritten lettering on spine is almost invisible - initial flyleaf has holes - and there is and inked scholarly note (possibly contemporary) to second flyleaf verso. A wonderful copy in its original contemporary binding, showing very light signs of actual wear.
