Text in Arabic and English. 1805, slim 8vo, approximately 225 x 140 mm, 9 x 5½ inches, pages: xxix, 3 blank pages, 126, plus 2 pages index and advert, bound in half leather, gilt lettering to spine and dividing gilt rules to covers, old printed boards with title and price to both boards, yellow endpapers, edges uncut. Spine repaired using old back strip, binding rubbed, old boards stained, corners bumped and worn, title page and following page heavily foxed, some pale foxing throughout, some corners dog-eared, leather bookplate to first pastedown with gilt name (Harold Blundell). Stephen Weston played a major role in the translation of the Rosetta Stone, presenting his work before the Society of Antiquaries in April 1811. He also published travel notes, classical texts and annotations, notes on Shakespeare, scriptural discussions and translations from Arabic, Chinese and Persian.
