In total there were 1,000 copies of this book published, of which 100 were on hand made paper. This Set effectively then is one of only 900 copies in the Navy Blue Gilt Cloth bindings. These are in excellent vibrant and uniform condition, with no foxing evident, and with no inscriptions whatsoever. Some pages remain uncut. Texts mostly in English. Some in Latin and Spanish. General Note: Includes index (v.12). Each Volume, apart from volume 12, are supplemented with a frontispiece; many Maps and Plans, chiefly folding, full page & folding Plates, many of which are facsimilies.
