The Tale of Peter Rabbit
F. Warne & Co, London 1902 - 1st Edition. Publishers original grey cloth boards with image of Peter Rabbit in a blue coat pasted to front board with blind stamped border. White titles to front and spine, dots to the centre of the O's in the title. Boards present well, very minor rubbing to the corners. Spine worn, starting to lift and detach from boards in places but minimal loss, very small part of the R in Rabbit and T in Tale rubbed away. Grey leaf patterned endpapers. Colour frontispiece and 30 illustrations in colour. Matches all Quinby reference points, including 'wept big tears'. Boards a little loose, hinges cracked. Minor paper loss to ffep. Previous owners neat inscription to verso of frontispiece. Looks as though frontispiece could have been reattached at some stage. Minor marking to pages but contents generally in good condition. Overall a good example with some minor faults. 89pp [Attributes: Hard Cover]
