Inscribed by Warhol on the half-title "to John Springer / love / Andy" and underneath Warhol has drawn one of his famous hearts. Warhol has additionally signed the front of the dust jacket (under the word "Exposures"). Exposures is Warhol's first book of photographs, a collection of 360 images of countless major celebrities captured in candid and revealing moments. With illuminating text by Warhol and Bob Colacello. John Springer (1916-2001) was an author, film historian, and press agent who associated with the most famous people of his day. "Among those John Springer represented and befriended were Marilyn Monroe, Tony Randall, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Davis, Ann Bancroft, Andy Warhol, John Waters, Myrna Loy, Robert Preston, Al Pacino, David Bowie, Mick Jagger, Mia Farrow, Debbie Reynolds, Angela Lansbury, even Ronald Reagan before he entered politics" (obituary in the New York Daily News).
