Random House 1954 - First Edition, First Printing, First State First Edition, First printing of HORTON HEARS A WHO by Dr. Seuss. Stunning clean near fine book and dust jacket. First edition, first state points present including full ears on back that overlap with quotes. The book has crisp glossy red boards in beautiful condition for this title which is often found with scribbles, writing, ruined spines and other issues that revolve around first edition children┬┐s books. This copy has bright glossy boards with strong vibrant colors. The boards are clean with no fading, and no rips. One rought spot along the spine (hard to see). The end papers are in perfect condition with no writing, no scribbles, no owner names, no bookplates and no inscriptions. The interior pages are clean, birght and flat with no writing, no stains, no bent pages, no handling marks, and no foxing. Beautiful crisp very clean copy of a children┬┐s book. The original first edition dust jacket has benefited from some slight restoration by an expert paper conservator and presents as a stunning near fine example. The jacket has strong vibrant colors with absolutely no fading on the spine (as is otherwise typical with this title). The dust jacket has no stains, no rips, no chips, no edgewear, no foxing and no fading. Stunning, near fine vibrant jacket showcasing the book.
