JONATHAN CAPE 1959 - First Edition, First Impression of GOLDFINGER by Ian Fleming. A nice example with a clean, crisp book and beautiful dust jacket. Original crisp black boards with a stamped skull with golden eyes to the front of the boards. Bright unfaded gilt titles to spine. The book is in beautiful condition with clean cloth boards, sharp corners with but one very tiny corner bump, and no edgewear. No dry nor splitting spine. The binding is tight and square. The end papers are clean with a personal bookplate, and the internal pages are clean and flat with No writing, No marks, No stains, No bent pages, No foxing and No age toning. An unusually clean, bright example of this title. Please see detailed images. The original first edition dust jacket is in beautiful condition having benefited from very slight restoration to the spine and corner tips, and presents as a near fine example. The jacket otherwise has No edgewear, No chips, No rips, No stains, No darkening or sunning to the spine, No fading, No rubbing and No foxing. Very slight light faded grubbyness to the rear panel.
