Original Artwork Entitled Soledad
Original, oil on canvas, framed by the artist. 17" x 23". Painted while in Mexico, it is signed, "R.J.E." and dated by the artist, 1950. From the artist's recollection, it was on display in Mexico in a one-man show in the Gallery Arte Moderno in 1951. Richard J. Ericson (1922-2010.) was a fine artist who lived, worked, and taught art in Long Island, NY, where he is well known, particularly on the North shore. He had his art displayed in gallerys from Mexico City, where he resided 1949-1953, to the Art Center in Cold Spring Harbor, NY.
