Preliminary blank leaf, printer's imprint present on page 252. Rear endpaper present. Printer's imprint at the spine but with periods around the ampersand. "E" in spruce and "t" in mighty unbattered on the last two lines on page 147. No stubs between 6-7. Binding threads between 6-7, 18-19, 30-31, and every six leaves to 246-247. Comma after the date on the copyright page. {ref: BAL 11869, McBride}. Meets all issue points by McBride. BAL states that the periods around the ampersands on the spine make it a third printing. Slate gray cloth boards with silver belt wrap around design. Lettered at the spine in silver. Frontispiece. Book Condition: Very Good, light shelf wear, fraying at the spine. Spine mildly rolled, owner's inscription from 1900 at the front endpaper. Stamped purchased at USPS auction at the rear endpaper. Rubbing at the silver on the boards.
