O. Mustad & Son Manufacturers Christiania, Norway. Salesman Sample.
- Christiania, Norway. O. Mustad & Son Manufacturers. ca. 1900. Salesman Sample of Fishing Hooks. This is a rare folding display which measures 8 x 6 inches when folded, and 70 inches when opened. There are 12 (8 x 5) card stock panels showcasing a total of 153 hooks in the following classifications: Aberdeen, Limerick, Kirbed Limerick, Sproat, O'Shaughnessy, Cincinnati Bass, Sneck, Kinsey, and Carlisle. The hooks are described with Mustad Company labels adjacent to each hook style with descriptions. The salesman sample is bound in full burgundy leather with gilt titles and brass rivets at the corners. All hooks are present. A bit of soiling and edge wear to the display. This is a rare, early salesman sample from one of the world's leading hook manufacturers. Very good.
