Lapsus Protoparentum Ex Poemate Miltoni Cantus VI [etc]
Ghelenianis 1768 - A used copy from a retired professor's collection of religious and classic books, in very nice conditon. The medium brown covers show light/ medium wear (light rubbing/ scuffing/ staining). The 5 raised bands on the spine are solid with the gilt decorations mildly rubbed and worn. The title reads simply: POEM MILT. There is rubbing/ chipping/ to head and foot of spine, with breakage 1/2" to 1" top and bottom at the gutters. There is no serious hinging front or rear. There are no markings to the title page or text, but there are ink and pencil pricing and other numbers to initial and rear empty pages. The illustrations and decorations are all bright. Intro and rear matter present (Supplementum ad Librum VI. Aeneisos). Unpaginated, but perhaps 120 pages, edges in red (may have been gilt or lacquered at one time). The tips of the volume are solid with just a hint of wear-through at the bottom corners. Photos available. This is a real volume, not a print on demand paperback. [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]
