Letters to Florence Farr.] Edited by Clifford Bax.
Dublin: The Cuala Press, 1941 - Octavo. Original Holland boards, white paper title label to spine and titles black to front board, blue endpapers. Leaves uncut. With the original glassine wrapper. A superb copy in the jacket only lightly rubbed at ends and corners. Vignette illustration to title page. First edition, first impression; number 498 of a limited 500 copies. Florence Farr (1860-1917), a London-based actress of great beauty and dynamism, was deeply involved with both Yeats and Bernard Shaw, both theatrically (acting in plays written by them, often specifically for her) and romantically (more with Shaw than Yeats, for whom she was more muse than lover). She was also a member, with Yeats, of the Golden Dawn. [Attributes: First Edition]
