Leather bookplate offset slightly on endsheet, otherwise near fine in lightly worn dust jacket. Half morocco slipcase. Limited printing of the third, revised, English edition. Copy #2 of 750 copies, specially printed and bound, and signed by the author. This copy bears Moore's presentation inscription to the publisher of this volume: "To Werner Laurie My Publisher and Friend George Moore." Laurie issued a number of Moore's novels in this format, under the contrived imprint of the Society of Irish Folk-Lore, beginning with A STORY- TELLER'S HOLIDAY in 1918.
