Harbour scene (scene van een haven).
A harbor scene: a village facing the sea on the left, where women and men are engaged in diverse activities. A tower on the left serves as a house. On the right, the sea and some docked ships and sailors. Signed and dated above, on the right: 'Dietrij fec. 1744.' From a set of etched landscapes."Etching on paper with margins, plate mark: 143 x 186 mm, total 164 x 201 mm. Very nice impression. The fading on the left side might be due to the quality of the plate. See for another impression the Detroit Museum of Art, inv. 09.1S364.11. Some notes on the verso, only along the margins, in pencil."
