Contemporary gilt-ruled calf, later rebacked in speckled calf, later contrasting red morocco lettering-piece, spine richly gilt. Some rubbing to boards, slight splitting to head of spine, surface loss to bumped corners. Armorial bookplate to FEP with the motto 'Labor Ipse Voluptas', very occasional ink underlining, sopradic spotting/browning, overall internally clean and crisp. From the library of the Earls of Lovelace, with the recent ink-stamp of the Ben Damph Forest library to FFEP. The first London edition of Ralph Winterton's (1601-1636) compilation of minor Greek poets, first printed at Cambridge in 1635, itself based upon editions of Henri Estienne and Jean Crespin.
