Hammersmith: Kelmscott Press, 1894.  First edition thus, 14.5 x 10.5cm (small 8vo), in publisher's holland-backed boards w/black title to fr. cover, a.e. untrimmed [i-iv], [1] 2-130 pp. w/elaborately designed frontis, titlepage & pp.[40-41], numerous floriated initials & typeface leaves thru-out, & running shoulder notes printed in red, +2 blank leaves to fr. & 4 to rear.  One of 525 copies printed in red & black Chaucer type on Batchelor's KP watermarked Perch handmade paper.  With Arthur Gaskin's self-designed bookplate (signed w/his initials) to fr. pastedown.  Gaskin & his wife Georgie were members of the Birmingham Group of Artist-Craftsmen--he illus. the KP "Shepheardes Calendar," & many critics "felt this cycle of illustrations [to be] among the most successful for a Kelmscott book."  Binding Very Good (lt. spotting to covers & ep.s); contents Near-Fine (occas. lt. spotting).  Ashley III 176, LeMire A-73.01.
