New York: Melomime, 1922 - Octavo, pp. 16. Original brown paper wrappers stitched with red string, front cover lettered and decorated with a vignette of a tiger and a woman in silver. Spine starting to split but still firm, string broken, otherwise a very good copy. With 3 tipped-in linocuts plates, illustrations in the text, all by Tice. First and limited deluxe edition, first printing, presentation copy, one of 30 copies inscribed and signed by the author on the colophon, here "To Colonel Hughes. Clara Tice", along with the note "artist's copy" in green ink in Tice's hand. Colonel Henry D. Hughes was a prominent art collector in Pennsylvania. This is an exhibition catalogue for Tice's exhibition Animals and Nudes which was held by the Anderson Galleries in New York between 11 and 25 November 1922. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy]
