Important early 19th century antique engraved map relating to the charting of the coast of New South Wales in Australia and Tasmania. Depicts in detail the tracks of Flinders in the first official circumnavigation of the island of Tasmania (Van Diemen). First published London 1800, this early Dutch issue appearing mere months after the initial London printing. Light uniform paper age toning, original fold line (s), remaining clean - a pleasing and well preserved visual example. Left margin narrow as issued, slightly wider inset tab at bottom.
