The minister mistaken; or, the question of depreciation erroneously stated by Mr. Huskisson.
London: Samuel Clarke 1843 - 8vo., 40pp., recently well bound in linen-backed marbled boards lettered. A good copy. First edition. The author was apparently John Taylor (1781-1864), a London publisher, and author of a prolific number of papers and books, many on money, banking, foreign exchanges, currency and the like. The present is a retrospective re-analysis of Huskisson's famous The question concerning the depreciation of our currency stated and examined> (1810). 'The circumstances of the present time have conferred on the work an importance almost equal to that which first attended its first appearance. . For these reasons, it was thought desirable to take a review of the arguments urged by Mr. Huskisson with so fatal a success'. [Author's Preface>]. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
