New York: Charles Scribners, 1897 - 1911. THE COMPLETE WRITINGS IN PROSE AND VERSE. Bound in the highest quality, polished morroco leather bindings. Thick raised hubs. Gilded spines. Top edges gilded. 8.25 inches tall. 34 inches of shelf space. Rag style paper with wide margins. Red and black title pages. Full page plates. Contains a Preface and Introduction for the "Outward Bound Edition, " but this is not shown elsewhere. In exceptionally fresh and FINE condition. The leather is exceptionally supple and fresh. The hinges are fully attached and equally fresh. There is no writing. Printed on quality paper, these appear free of foxing. Bound and signed by Putnam's and Sons bindery. Such FINE sets of Kipling are difficult to obtain. This is an exceptional set and displays beautifully.
