This set calls for 313 plates, but actually contains 317 plates [one of which is black & white], along with text illustrations. Uniformly bound in green cloth by Burn & Co., with gilt lettering and Lily of the Valley on the front covers, along with plant borders [gilt still bright]. Covers show edge wear/tear, with Vol. III looking beat-up. Interiors Very Good, with occasionally light foxing, a few inner joint splits, a few signatures sprung. Bookplates of James C. Gilchrist.
