Salmacis and Hermaphroditus, a Poem attributed to Francis Beaumont
(London): Golden Cockerel Press, 1951. Octavo. 44pp. From an edition of 380 copies, this is one of thirty deluxe copies in full morocco. The deluxe edition contains an extra engraving not present in the regular edition, and it is signed by the illustrator, John Buckland Wright, and Gwyn Jones, the editor. The eleven wood engravings by Buckland Wright are printed in three colors, and this marked the first time color was used in illustrations for Golden Cockerel books. Slight toning to spine, else a fine copy in blue morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with gilt cover decoration and gilt titling. Housed in a morocco-trimmed cloth slipcase. T.e.g.
