Minor foxing, tiny marginal tear to fore-edge throughout, lower third of titlepage in old manuscript facsimile, contemporary ink signature on titlepage, small repair to next leaf affecting just one word, minor repair to final blank. Overall a good copy. In a half morocco box. An early colonial emigration pamphlet promoting two townships to be laid out, one on each side of the Kennebeck River. A grant of one hundred acres was promised to each family willing to settle in either of the two new towns. Includes the text of the original Plymouth Patent and extracts from pertinent records of the Proprietors. An important early promotional work for New England, with a contemporary ownership signature belonging to Samuel West of Salem, Massachusetts. STREETER SALE 678. EVANS 6761. SABIN 59034.
