Hardcover, bound in contemporary silken quarter cloth and matching marbled boards, spine gilt. In fine condition. ~ First edition. Extremely rare. [Provenance:] Previously at the Anatomisches Institut der Universität Freiburg during the Third Reich. With a small shelf ticket at foot of spine and stamps to first endpapers, one in blind. Title-page with the round contemporary stamp of this institute embodying the Nazi emblem of eagle and swastika. Hubert Peters (1859-1934). Garrison & Morton 516.1
