Keraban the Inflexible. Part I: The Captain of the Guidara, and Part II: Scarpante the Spy
London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, and Rivington, 1887., 1887. 2 volumes, First Editions, Later Issues. Publisher's secondary binding of dark green cloth illustrated in black and titled in gilt to spines and upper boards; yellow end papers. Generously illustrated with black and white plates. Spine of Part I scored; very light edgewear and slight lean to both volumes; gutters starting but books sound. Rear free end paper of Part II missing. Same neat ownership to both volumes. One page of 'List of books by Jules Verne', undated, to reverse of title page Part I and to last page Part II. A scarce variant of an already difficult title. Very good indeed. Held in a custom made protective green cloth slipcase. Myers, 32.
