Volumes 13-17 of a total of 18 volumes, although Wiltshire is still classed as 'active' meaning the county volumes are in progress, with more to be published. Volumes are:XIII- South-West Wiltshire: Chalke and Dunworth HundredXIV- Malmesbury HundredXV- Amesbury Hundred; Branch and Dole HundredXVI- Kinwardstone HundredXVII- Calne HundredProfusely illustrated including 107 maps. The Victoria County History was founded in 1899 and is an English history project, with the aim of creating a record and comprehensive history of England's places and people from the earliest times to the present day. Condition: In red cloth bindings with four volumes in original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, in excellent condition with just some light shelfwear. Dustwrappers very smart with handling marks and red stains and very light shelfwear to extremities with the occasional chip. Internally, all volumes firmly bound. Pages bright and clean.
