Etching, on thin China paper attached to on wove paper. Description: from a set: "Sixty five plates of shipping and craft". State: Only state. Ref: Undescribed.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Edward William Cooke' after an anonymous artist. Edward William Cooke (1811-1880) was a British painter and engraver from London. He was the son of the engraver George Cooke. He specialised in marine scenery. Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. Remains of attachment to carrier to the top margin. Margins a little warped (from moisture?). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: LA-A4-08 The overall size is ca. 11.9 x 10.3 inch. The image size is ca. 8.9 x 6.9 inch. The overall size is ca. 30.2 x 26.2 cm. The image size is ca. 22.7 x 17.4 cm.
