Dell'Ira Libri Tre. Tradotti in lingua Thoscana e con molte annotationi dichiarati da Francesco Serdonati .
Lorenzo Pasquati 1569 - woodcut printer's device on title, Privilege within large woodcut featuring 3 putti and foliage, woodcut head-pieces, woodcut initials, water-staining to last few leaves, the last the worst with a few small holes and slight loss, ff. [iv], 51 [lacking last, ?blank], 4to, Italian vellum over boards of about a century later, double gilt fillets on sides with fleurons in the corners, spine lettered longitudinally in ink, yellow edges. An early translation of Seneca into a vernacular. Serdonati published a fairly small number of works, but these included a translation of Baccaccio Delle donne illustri (1596), and Maffei's History of the East Indies (1589). These two editions receive notice in Pettas, The Giunti, but still, little seems to be known about Serdonati. (CNCE 33013; Ebert 20901)
