Published by T. Purday and Son at the Library, Sandgate [Map Published by W. Tiffen, Hythe] Printed by J. Evans, Holborn Hill, London circa 1838. Hard back binding in publisher's original maroon cloth covers, gilt title to the upper panel. 8vo. 7'' x 4½''. Contains [ii] 96 printed pages of text with super monochrome frontispiece of Sandgate drawn from the side of a Martello Tower with just a small group of houses at the bottom of the hill, twin sided Map of the South Eastern Railway 'To Accompany the Itinerary From Dover to London' 4 small vignette illustrations throughout. T. Purday was a small local Bookseller, Stationer, and Postmaster in Sandgate and agents to the London Genuine Tea Company. Minor soiling to the covers and in Very Good clean and sound condition. Member of the P.B.F.A.
