Contemporary half calf, gilt ornamented spines with gilt lettering. Gyllenhal (1752-1840) was a pupil of Linnaeus. The present work of which no other volumes appeared describes 2083 species of beetles and forms a section of Retzius' "Fauna Suecica". Complete sets as the above are rare.
