With chapter summaries printed in red, six- line and eight-line foliate initials, and marginal decorations. Opening two-page spread with wide white-vine borders and a flowered field. Bound in original vellum, spine lettered in gilt, with yapp edges; 6 original ties; in green morocco-backed drop box. Near fine. Peterson A10; Ransom 10 . The text, translated by Caxton from the Dutch, was described by Morris as "a thoroughly good representative of the Beast epic, in its rude joviality and direct delineation of character"
