Germantown, PA: Christoph Saur, 1743. 55 [i.e., 56] pp. (Errors in paging: number 7 repeated; pp. 12-16 later issue). Hardcover, bound in later half brown morocco over marbled boards by Stikeman. The binding has been rebacked, preserving the Stikeman spine. Early owner's name on the title and marginalia on a few leaves. Contains, in addition to the new charter of privileges granted by Penn Oct. 28, 1701: the Royal grant of the province to Penn by Charles II; the first frame of government, 1682; laws agreed upon in England; certain conditions and concessions agreed upon July 11, 1681; the Act of Settlement, 1682; extracts from the charter of Philadelphia; an abstract of the poor laws; and extracts from various laws. "Given to the subscribers of Saur's paper [Der Hoch-Deutsch Pennsylvanische Geschicht-Schreiber] as a premium in parts of eight pages each.
