Framed Signed Envelope commemorating America's musical contribution
New York, 1964. unbound. 3.5 x 6.5-inch First Day Cover commemorating "America's contribution to the World of Music." Issued to mark the 50th anniversary of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. Signed in full by Bennett and postmarked in New York City on October 15, 1964. The envelope features an image of an eagle perched on a decorative harp on the left and has a cancelled five-cent American Music stamp on the upper right. Float-mounted below a 4.75 x 7-inch photo of Bennett energetically playing the piano and singing in his New York apartment. Matted in black and set in a patterned, black and gray frame measuring 17 x 14.25 inches. Fine condition.
