Army Engineer Department from expeditions to the area in 1873, 1878, and 1879. The subtitle of the main report is: Geological Examinations in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico, During the Years 1878 and 1879. The book is missing the three map plates that should be in the back pocket. There is an appendix by C.A. White titled: Appendix Upon the Carboniferous Invertebrate Fossils of New Mexico. Lots of stratigraphic columns and lists of fossils found from many localities as well as structural geology, petrology, and geomorphology. Some staining to front cover, and wear at top and bottom of spine. Book is tight and contents in very good condition [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
