With the dust jacket. Slight marking to front cover. An excellent copy in the dust jacket, spine panel a little nicked at head, chip to head of rear panel with short closed tear at foot. With frontispiece and 7 monochrome illustrations by S. G. Hulme Beaman, numerous woodcut head and tailpieces. First Bodley Head edition. An attractively illustrated edition of Stevenson's classic, first published in 1886. The illustrator, Sydney George Hulme Beaman (1887–1932), is perhaps best known as the creator of the Toytown series, a popular children's radio show on the BBC in the 1930s.
