1864. This Muster-Out Roll is a certified copy signed by A. L. Russell, Adjunct General, documenting the transfer of Robert Strine. The document reads in part “Muster-Out Roll of Captain H. S. Thomas formerly Tho. S. Richards “Company M” in the First Regiment of Penn-a Reserve Cavalry Volunteers commanded by Colonel James P. Taylor formerly Geo. D. Bayard called into service of the United States by the President at Harrisburg, Pa (the place of general rendezvous) on the 5th day of August, 1861, to serve for a term of Three Years, from the date of enrollment, unless sooner discharged; from the 5fth day of August, 1861, [ when enrolled” to the 9th day of September, 1864, when mustered out.
