Previous owners armorial bookplate to front pastedowns, very slightly browned, otherwise internally quite bright and clean. Berkeley was a politician, who was fined for cock-fighting and assaulting a neighbour in a hunting dispute, as well as assaulting a publisher who had libelled him and fighting a duel with the editor of the magazine who had libelled him (from Oxford DNB) Size: 8vo [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
