State: Only state. Ref: BM satires 5279.Artists and Engravers: Made by 'James Bretherton' after 'Henry William Bunbury'. James Bretherton (1755-1799), etcher, dealer and publisher in London. Brother of Charles Bretherton and is particularly associated with Henry William Bunbury (qq.v.), many of whose works he engraved and published. His stock of plates was auctioned in 1799. Henry William Bunbury (1750 – 7 May 1811) was an English caricaturist. Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling.
