Our Exagmination Round His Factification for Incamination of Work in Progress
Shakespeare and Company, Paris 1929 - Paris, 1929. Softcover. First edition. With letters of protest by G.V.L. Slingsby and Vladimir Dixon. Self-wrappers as issued. Mostly unopened. chiping at the corners , due to the paperquality browning and deteriorating appearance ( acidity of the paper used). Contributors include Samuel Beckett, Marcel Brion, Frank Budgen, Stuart Gilbert, Eugene Jolas, Victor Llona, Robert McAlmon, Thomas McGreevy, Elliot Paul, John Rodker, Robert Sage, and William Carlos Williams. Beckett's contribution is his first appearance in print. A tribute to James Joyce that also contains brief quotations from *Work in Progress*, including text which was not later incorporated into *Finnegans Wake*. The "Letters of Protest" are reputed to have been written by Joyce himself. Some browning and weakness on the cover with loss of upper corner and small losses on the side and bottom, dustwrapper with small parts torn off, given the fragility of the print a good and resonable copy. [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]
