Ira Levin
, May 22, 2006. May 22, 2006. Signed Book: Rosemary's Baby by Ira Levin, Random House, New York: 1967, 245pp, octavo, original half blue cloth, original dust jacket with price intact. First edition, seventh printing of this influential horror classic, inscribed by the author on the first free endpaper, "To Alex Obledo's Dad, With best wishes, Ira Levin" and dated by him "5/22/06". One of the most sophisticated and stimulating books in the genre. The most important horror novel of the 1960s and the book that launched the 'horror boom' of the 1960s and 1970s. Roman Polanski's 1968 film adaptation is both suspenseful and faithful to the plot of the story. Near fine in a very good jacket showing edge wear, scarce inscribed.
