Darkness at Noon. Translated from the German by the author's friend and intimate Daphne Hardy.

First Amercian edition, issued a year after the UK edition. 8vo. 267pp. Blue boards lettered and ruled in silver at spine and with the author's initials silver-stamped to the upper board. The first American edition of the author's most famous novel, and the center part of his trilogy bookended by 'The Gladiators' (1939) and 'Arrival and Departure' (1943).. Book Condition: Very Good.
